Severe capacity bottlenecks. During peak seasons the inbound volume can double, and the only way to avoid stock-pile overflow is to add more manual labor.
Low sorting purity. Because the feedstock is complex, manual sorting can achieve only first-grade blue-white separation.
High labor costs. The sorting line alone needs 6–7 workers, and turnover is high.
